Quality control system for plastic caps

For the company GreenBox a system has been developed for conteggio, measuring and performing quality control of freshly molded and cooled plastic caps.

With the use of several cameras, the system can monitor the caps both on the sides and on the inside and therefore to determine any non-conformities in terms of shape, color or defects such as burns. If one of the controls active during the scan detects an anomaly, the product is sent to the defined containers. 

Thanks to the optimization of the vision algorithms, the inspection speed can reach up to 30 caps/sec.

Through the specially developed software, it is possible to create different analysis for each product format to carry out customized checks. 

To comply with the requests of industry 4.0, the system, using the reading of the OCR code of each cap, keeps track of the analyzes carried out and processes various statistics useful for the customer.
