Automated stud centering system

In collaboration with the company Bottonificio BAP S.P.A., a vision system was created for automatic studding machines. 

The developed software allows to recognize the intersection of two seams (point in which to place the stud) and to automatically move the leather under the punch to allow a fast (30 studs per minute) and precision (tolerance less than 0.1 mm).

Thanks to the software, it is also possible to create different recipes – autonomously – to be able to manage several types of textured surfaces.
